Specialty Glass Introduces Ultra Fine Particles For Composite Restorative Dental Materials

nano_toothSince our inception in 1977, Specialty Glass Incorporated (SGI) has manufactured the highest quality dental glasses available for the manufacturing of dental composites within the dental materials market. Today, using our state of the art technology along with our flexibility to customize dental glass formulations, physical properties and particle size distribution, we continue to build upon our reputation as a leader in this industry with an extensive array of fine micron sized dental glass powders that meet individual requirements.

We are pleased to offer inert dental glasses of various formulations having different Index of Refractions for the purpose of matching commonly used dental resins. We offer standard formulations and particle sizes, some of which are listed below, though SGI prides itself in our ability to custom design formulations, melt and grind to customer specification.

With the addition of ultra fine particles to your composite formulations, you can achieve improved flexural strength, high load factor, aesthetics, polishablility, wear resistance and handling while seeing the benefit of a decrease in shrinkage.
